From January 16-18, 2014, Friends of the Environment held their 6th Biennial Abaco Science Alliance Conference on Marsh Harbour, Abaco at the New Vision Ministries building. The conference aims to 1) offer a forum for networking, 2) provide an opportunity for information exchange between researchers that perform research on Abaco and throughout The Bahamas with the community, 3) encourage the use of research to help develop outreach and educational materials on the natural environment and 4) help with environmental management and stimulate further research in The Bahamas. Topics addressed included research findings in natural history and environmental science on Abaco and throughout The Bahamas.
